We don't want to spoil the surprise so all of our Engagement collection orders will be shipped in eco-friendly unbranded outside packaging.

To ensure all natural diamonds are conflict free our supplier adheres the strict standards of the Kimberley Process.

The Kimberley Process (KP) is an international initiative to eliminate trade in conflict diamonds. By setting strict verifiable requirements the Kimberley Process is creating transparency and oversight in the diamond industry. This way we can guarantee our diamonds are 100% ethical.

There is no difference between a diamond occurring naturally and a laboratory grown diamond except ‘origin’. The optical, physical and chemical characteristics are exactly the same. Even a trained eye won't be able to detect the difference.

The most respected diamond grading laboratories the Gemological Institute of America, HRD and the International Gemological Institute provide diamond grading reports certifying that laboratory grown diamonds are exactly the same as natural occurring diamond except that one is created by science.

Yes, all of our diamonds (laboratory grown and natural) of 0.5ct and higher are accompanied with full grading reports from the International Gemological Institute (IGI), one of the world’s leading gemological laboratories.

Laboratory grown rough diamonds are produced in very tightly controlled laboratory environments. The conditions have been designed to perfectly emulate those in which mined diamonds develop deep below the earth’s surface.
The key molecular component of diamonds is carbon. Laboratory grown diamonds are created with a diamond seed and an external source of carbon. When extreme pressures and temperatures are applied the carbon source grows on the diamond seed atom-by-atom and layer-by-layer.

This process creates a laboratory grown rough diamond that is then cut and polished like all diamonds.

The quality of a diamond is determined by the 4 C's: Cut, Color, Clarity and Carat.

The way a diamond is Cut determines its sparkle. The brilliance of the diamond is created by cutting precision and perfect proportions. If the cutting factors are not optimized this will negatively affect the appearance of the diamond.

Color refers to the shade of the diamond. The most expensive and rare diamonds are colorless diamonds in the range D, E and F.

Clarity refers to the number of inclusions in the stone. The less inclusions the higher the quality of the diamond.

Carat is a measurement of weight/size.

All of our diamonds (laboratory grown and natural) of 0.5ct and higher are accompanied with an IGI Certificate with color, clarity, cut and carat specifications for your specific diamond.

Even though we use precious high quality materials there's a few things you can do to keep your jewelry in optimal condition.

In order to keep your jewelry shiny as long as possible we recommend to take off your MiJu items during the following activities:

- Cleaning, harsh detergents can affect the shine of your jewelry and its stones.

- Swimming, the chemicals in chlorinated pools might damage the metals and gemstones.

- Exercising, don't take any risks of breaking your MiJu jewelry.

All 14k gold MiJu rings are hallmarked by EWN (Edelmetaal Waarborg Nederland). EWN has been certified as an Assay Office by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy under the Dutch Assay Act.

Assaying is seen as a way to protect customers because all objects are tested for their precious metal content. The contents of gold in MiJu jewelry are guaranteed by the Assay Office content mark.

Unfortunately we can’t offer free returns, so the shipping costs are for the customers expense.

We always recommend to send your package insured using a secure/traceable method. Please note that we can’t be hold responsible for lost returns.

We would also recommend to hold on to your tracking number until we receive your package.

That’s why you have 30 days to return your 9k solid gold products. The Engagement collection offers a 60 days return or exchange period. If you need a longer return period please contact us beforehand. 

Make sure to return your products in their original condition. Meaning you can only return an item when it’s not worn, undamaged and includes its original packaging. 

MiJu reserves the right to refuse returned products when they’re damaged, worn or not received within the return deadline.
